classic frommer guide Nov 04, 2007 I sure like this edition overall, though it had some shortcomings for my specific trip's purposes. Classic Frommers style -- concise, tight, useful info. Good complement to my other guides -- TimeOut Buenos Aires, Footprint and Fodors. Some key items about towns and lodging in Mendoza region I only found in Frommers. But, was weak on info for NW-Salta-JuyJuy region as compared to the others.

Helpful Guide Nov 01, 2007 We used this guide primarily for Mendoza and for Buenos Aires, and I found it very helpful. There were a lot of useful tidbits on local culture and customs (such as the water bottle shrines along the highway), and the reviews of places to stay and dine and explore were up to date and relevant. My only complaint was that the number of restaurants reviewed in Buenos Aires was quite limited...I would have preferred to have had more establishments reviewed there. I understand the problem...there are SO MANY restuarants there! But, it would be nice to have more of them reviewed...sometimes we heard from others about possible places to eat, but could find no review. Other than that, however, the book was great.
